Grandfather Clock Service and Repair
Grandfather and Grandmother clocks, also known as floor clocks and tall case clocks, will often have two or three weights hanging on chains or cables. They are differentiated by the size of the movements more than the size of the cabinets. They are often made so that they chime a tune each quarter hour and strike out the hour on the hour.

Wall Clock Service and Repair
Wall clocks are clocks which are designed to hang on a wall. They may be designed to strike the hour and half hour, or to play a tune each quarter hour. If your wall clock needs to be serviced or repaired, contact me. As always, if I can’t repair it, there is no charge.
Quartz Clock Service and Repair
Do you have a favorite quartz (battery operated) clock that you would love to see working again? I work on quartz clocks. Many times I can clean and repair the movement and if not, the movement can most likely be replaced. Contact me and see if we can get your cherished quartz clock operating for you once again.
Mantel Clock Service and Repair
Mantel clocks are designed to set on a mantel, shelf, table or cabinet and come in a great variety of sizes and shapes! Many are designed to strike the hour and/or half hour and many of them will play a tune each quarter hour. I include “anniversary” or 400 day clocks in this category. If your mantel clock needs to be serviced or repaired, please contact me. As always, if I can’t repair it, there is no charge.
I recommend all mechanical clocks be cleaned and fresh lubricant applied at least every ten years.
Note: The “most important thing” for a mantel clock (or any mechanical clock) is not that it be “level,” but that the rhythm, meaning the “tick, tock,” is even. If the rhythm is not even on your mantel clock you may find it running a while, then quitting. Try placing a piece of thin cardboard under one end of either the left or right side and see if the rhythm becomes more even. If it gets worse, change the cardboard to under the other side.
Cuckoo Clock Service and Repair
Cuckoo clocks are fascinating to old and young alike. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes. As with all mechanical clocks, they need to be serviced with cleaning and fresh lubricant periodically and sometimes they need to be repaired.
